My Comments:  I was in Phoenix, Arizona many years ago looking for property.  I found myself there during the lunch time so I headed over to the center of town, their shopping area, and found all the shops closed.  It was about 110C, so i guess it was siesta time.  It can get pretty hot there.  Some summers are hotter than others.  Still you need to keep running the air conditioner all day and night.
